What stops most new users of prediction markets is not picking a market. It is a simpler question: where do I get USDC, and how do I send it? On PolySouq the answer is three steps: buy USDC on the crypto exchange you already use, choose Withdraw and the Polygon network, and paste the personal deposit address shown in your account. At least 0 must arrive after the exchange deducts its withdrawal fee, and the balance is credited automatically, usually within minutes. There is no card or bank deposit and no "connect wallet" button. This guide explains each step, how to choose where to buy, and the mistakes that lose money.
Risk notice: trading on PolySouq uses real money, and you can lose the full amount you put into any market. Only trade what you can afford to lose; nothing guarantees a profit. The platform is for adults 18+ and eligibility and terms apply. For significant financial decisions, seek independent financial advice.
Once the transfer is confirmed on the network, the amount is credited to your balance automatically and shown in dollars. Withdrawing from an exchange needs no POL for gas, because the exchange handles the network fee and charges its own withdrawal fee.
If this is your first crypto transfer, read the sections below before you press Confirm. A wrong network or a wrong address cannot be corrected after sending.
USDC is a stablecoin designed to track the US dollar, which is why your PolySouq balance is shown directly in dollars. The same coin exists on many networks (Ethereum, Polygon and others), and each network is a separate ledger: what you hold on one does not appear on another.
PolySouq accepts USDC on the Polygon network only. Two versions are accepted there: native USDC and bridged USDC.e, and both are credited. USDT and every other coin are not credited, even when sent on Polygon. The difference between the two coins, and how to convert, is covered in the USDC or USDT guide.
That is why the network field on the withdrawal screen is the most important field in the whole process: the same address can be accepted on more than one network, but your balance is credited only if the funds arrive on Polygon.
PolySouq does not recommend a specific crypto exchange, because the exchanges and payment methods available differ from one Arab country to another. Before you buy, check four things on the exchange you plan to use:
If you already hold USDT, convert it to USDC inside the exchange first, then withdraw the USDC on Polygon. If you buy from individuals through a peer-to-peer service, do not release payment until the coin shows in your exchange balance, and stay away from any offer made outside the exchange.
The cost of this step (the purchase commission and the conversion rate from your currency) goes to the exchange, not to PolySouq. The only commission PolySouq takes is 10% of the losing pool when a market settles, and there is no entry fee on trades.
Once USDC shows in your exchange balance, follow this sequence literally the first time:
Why watch the "you will receive" line? Many exchanges deduct the withdrawal fee from the amount itself. If you enter 10 USDC and the fee is, say,
If the withdrawal screen asks for a memo or tag, leave it empty; a Polygon deposit address does not need one.
Crypto transfer risk: USDC is a crypto asset moved on a public network, and transfers are final and cannot be reversed. Sending on a network other than Polygon, or to a wrong address, can lose the amount for good, so use the deposit address exactly as it appears in your account.
You can also send from a wallet whose keys you hold, but that adds two responsibilities:
In the PolySouq model there is no "connect wallet" step and no signing popup: you send USDC to your personal address the way you would send it to any other address. We do not advise beginners to move coins between networks through bridges, which add steps and room for error. Protecting your wallet and recovery phrase is covered in the account security and wallet protection guide.
A first transfer of
The deposit shows in your balance once network confirmations complete, usually within minutes of the withdrawal leaving the exchange. The real delay is normally earlier, while the exchange reviews the withdrawal request.
After that you can enter any market on the event trading platform from per trade. Keep three rules in mind before your first one:
When you want to withdraw, withdrawals are in USDC only, to a Polygon address you provide, with a $5 minimum and a verified email, and larger withdrawals go through manual review. The steps are in the step-by-step withdrawal guide, and account setup is in the open an account and first trade guide.
There are two different risks on this journey. The first is transfer risk: a wrong network or a wrong address can mean losing the amount before you start, and nobody can reverse a transaction on a public network. The second is trading risk: on any prediction market trading platform your forecast can be wrong, and then you lose the full amount you put in. Balances are not insured or guaranteed, and there is no signup bonus or demo balance to absorb a mistake. Deposit only what you can afford to lose. Buy USDC on the crypto exchange you use in your country, then choose Withdraw and the Polygon network and paste the personal deposit address shown in your account. Make sure the amount that arrives after the withdrawal fee is at least
Polygon only; it may be listed as Polygon POS. Funds sent on Ethereum or any other network are not credited to your balance and may be lost for good.
Not when you withdraw from a crypto exchange, which handles the network fee and charges its own withdrawal fee. You need a little POL only if you send from a wallet whose keys you hold.
No. Deposits on PolySouq are in USDC on the Polygon network only, to your personal deposit address. You first buy USDC on a crypto exchange with whatever payment method it offers, then send it.
No. Only USDC or USDC.e on Polygon is credited. If you hold USDT, convert it to USDC inside the exchange first, then withdraw it on Polygon.
It is credited automatically after network confirmations, usually within minutes of the withdrawal leaving the exchange. If it takes longer, check the withdrawal status at the exchange first and look for the transaction hash (TxHash).
The most common cause is that the exchange deducted its withdrawal fee from the amount, so less than
No. PolySouq has no wallet connection. Each account has a personal deposit address on Polygon, and you send USDC to it from an exchange or from your own wallet.
